So. Da. Virupaksha Gowda is a retired employee and he is presently working  as a daily reporter for ‘Loka Darshasna’ ‘Ee News’ and ‘Hosapete Times’ newspapers. He has authored ‘Baa Basavesh’ (kavanasankalana) published by Basava Someswari Prakashana, Hosapete. He was born on 12th October 1957 to late Sri D. Channa Basavana Gowda and Annapoornamma in  Somasamudra village of Bellary taluk.

His unpublished books are ‘Sree Channa Sharana’’ a collection of 120 Vachanas and  ‘Vachanalinga Prabhe’ a collection of  111 Vachanas.  Nearly one hundred his poems and 20 articles are unpublished. But some of his poem sand articles are regularly being published in many newspapers and magazines. ‘Kundu Korategala Gowda’ an aticle on him was published in ‘Loka Darshana’ written by Venkaesh Uppar.
