Bangi  Dodda Manjunatha is basically a news reporter by profession but eventually turned out as a writer with great social concern. He was born in 1969 to Sri Bangi Gundappa and Smt. Bangi Shobha. He got Married to Bangi  Smt.Shobha. Earlier, he has worked in some of the private firms in Kampli, later he joined as a news reporter in ‘Usha Kirana’ newspaper. Then after wards, he worked in  ‘E Namma Kannada Naadu’ and ‘Vijaya Vani’ dailies. Now he is presently working in ‘Samyukta Karnataka’.  He has 8 years of experience as a news reporter. Apart from his profession he has a passion for teaching school children by taking private tutions. He is known for his good coordination in organizing social programmes with almost all literal and cultural associations of Kampli.  He has edited two books “Sirigannada” (Kavana Sankala –2009) and “Kampli” (Brief History of Kampli Town-2006). He has participated in ‘Kavi Goshti’ (Poets’ Meet) of Hampi Utsav, and many such Poets’ Meet organized at Bellary, Hospet etc.
