Nisty Rudrappa is a well known person in northern Karnataka region in the field of literature and Kannada Organization. In fact he requires no introduction for the’ Bellarians’. He has dedication his life to the Kannada Literature, Basavanna’s philosophy, communal Harmony and socio- Cultural programmes. Every day he will be in one or the other programmes as mentioned above. He appeared in the public picture through the ‘Kannada Sahitya parishatthu’ of Bellary unit . He held the chair of district unit of Parishatthu for the successive two terms. He was pioneer in taking the programmes of parishathu to the common man and made ‘Kannada Sahithya Parishathu’ a house hold name.
Rudrappa was born on 1st June 1966 to Sri Basavarajappa and Smt. Prabhavathi. He completed his primary education at Veerashiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha’s Silver Jubliee Memorial Primary School . Later studied at Setra Gurushantappa High School for 8th and 9th standard . He completed his 10th at Warlaw School .Then on wards from PUC to B.com degree he studied at Prestigious Veerashiva college Bellary. Rudrappa is married to Smt. Latha and is blessed with two children.
He joined MA in Kannada in the Karnataka University Dharward. After being awarded M.A in Kannada, again he joined to M.A in political science and completed it too. He obtained State third rank in the PG studies on ‘Basava Philosophy’ conducted by Murugha Matt Chitradurga. He taught Kannada as a part time lecturer for medical students of Vijanagara Institute of medical Science (VIMS) Bellary. Presently he is rendering his educational services as a secretary to Kalapatharu Education society Bellary and as a manager to the St. Vadiraj School Bellary.
Rudrappa has many books to his credit. His first book was published by Basva Kendra, Bellary on Basvanna Matthu Kare marse’ in 2004. This book madea good impact on the common readers and inspired many Youth including me. Title of the book itself is ear catching! His second bok is “ Basava Niste” published by Rashtriya Basava Dala,Bellary in 2009. Third one “patina Mahadevappanavaru” by Lingayath Adhyan samsthe, thontadarya samsthana mata gadag in 2010. Fourth book “kannada terannelevavaru” by kannada sahithya parishath, Bangalore in 2011.

His book “kara teja Darpana” published by Prabhu Devara Samsthana Viraktha mata, Sandur in 2013.Apart from writing he reports news to the daily newspaper “ Loka Darshana “ He regularly contributes articals to the newspapers related socio-cultural topics . He also makes time in delivering Lecturers & participating in discussions All India Radio, Hospet. He has joined across Karnataka to delivar mass Lecturer & there by to create kannada awereness among the common people, so far he has delivered more than 350 Lectures in this regard.
Rudrappa is very active in various organizations, he is best known as a kannada organizer rather than a writer & thinker. In every programme he organizes he ensures that there is a social justice & opportunities bestowed on all the sections of the people. There is a saying in English that “even God cannot please everybody” but this turns to be a false statement in case of our Nisty.
Nisty Rudrappa is the founder chairman for “Sri Basaveshwara Seva Samithi”. He has served as organizing secratary for All India sharana sahithya parishath, Bellary and as well as for Basava Kendra, Bellary. He is an active member of Rashtriya Basava Dala. Life member of Karnataka Rajya Vijnana Parishath, Karnataka Ithihasa Academy, Veerashaiva Vidyavadaka sangha etc. He is an adviser to Karnataka Rakshana Vedike of Bellary district, Acchu Koota Samithi of Ka.Sa.Pa. (Kannada Sahitya Parishath), Datti samithi of Ka.Sa.Pa.., Pariksha samithi of Ka.Sa.Pa., central post office Bellary etc. He is an executive member of Bellary Nagarika Horata samithi, Ranga jangama Graminabivruddhi Samsthe, Bellary. Apart from his literary activities he actively participates in pro-kannada protests & demonstrations. Rudrappa a pride son of Bellary working for a noble cause of spreading moral values, higher culture, love towards motherland through kannada. All the youngsters may take these kind of personalities as their role models and can make sense of very cause of our survivability on this earth!
