Smt.Parvathi S Indusekhar, an advocate by profession is presently the Mayor of Bellary City Corporation, born on 12th Feb. 1962 to Dr.S.R.Nesvi & Smt.Neelamma at Hubli, was inspired by her late father, who was a freedom fighter, an active participant of Quit India Movement and worked for the upliftment of farmers at Hamsabhavi.

Having studied upto 4th standard in her native place at Hansabhavi, she studied at Kittur Rani Chennamma Residential School for girls at Kittur till II PUC.

The environment of her home and school helped her imbibe in her the spirit of patriotism and nationality. Having good academic record. Her active participation in debates, sports & NCC helped in all-round development of her personality. Being the captain of the school, she laid the foundation stone for the second stage of the academic block in the presence of the then PWD Minister Late.S.Bangarappa and thus her name is ever remembered in the history of the school.

Though she had a brilliant academic performance, her flair for teaching made her pursue degree in arts. She secured 10th Rank to the Karnataka University, Dharwad in 1st year degree and completed her studies being a topper to the college.

She came out with flying colors being the topper in M.A. Economics from Karnataka University, Dharwad. Her dream came true while she worked as a Lecturer at Panditharadya College, Harihar for three months.

After her marriage to Sri.Indusekhar S, a leading advocate and ex-president of Veerasaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Bellary, she completed her degree in Law and joined the chambers of her father-in-law, late.Sanganakal Sanna Saranappa, an advocate and philonthrophist.

Her activities diversified with the support and encouragement of her husband, Sri.Indusekhar.S, who has strong bent of mind to serve the society with good & strong education. She served as a jury to the 48th National Film Festival at New Delhi in 2001. Her orientation towards literature is witnessed through her writings of short poems and the autobiography of her father named “Kranthiveera Shivanna”, narrating the incidents of his struggle during the freedom movement. She contested in the by-elections of Bellary City Corporation in 2010 and elected as the Mayor in March 2011. Her dedication to work, inspire and dynamism have held her in good stead.

Indusekhar Sanganakal, an advocate by profession, born on 18th May 1956 to Sri.Sanganakal Sanna Saranappa & Smt.Sumangalamma at Bellary, hails from an illustrious family involved in agriculture and education. He has been carrying on the pioneering work of his grandfather, Late.Sri.S.B.Veerana Gouda, who was the founder member of the prestigious Veerasaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha (V.V.Sangha), and continuing the footsteps of his noble father, Late.Sri.Sanna Saranappa, an advocate of distinction who was the Secretary and Treasurer of V.V.Sangha. He has been carrying on his own humble way the mission of spreading education in this backward district.

Indusekhar S completed Law Degree and has been practicing at the Bellary Bar since 1984 and later served as President of V.V. Sangha from May 2008 to Sept. 2011. He served as Chairman of Governing Body of the premier education institution, Rao Bahadur Y Mahabaleswarappa Engineering college (formerly Vijayanagara Engineering College). This has helped him to study at close association with not only the University bodies like, Gulbarga University, Gulbarga, Visveswaraya Technological University, Belgaum, but also All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

He is the legal advisor to most of the financial institutions, industries like; SBI, Vijaya Bank, Corporation Bank, Pragathi Gramina Bank, ING Vysya Bank, Federal Bank Ltd., Sundaram Finance, MMTC, Bellary Steels & Alloys Ltd,. Royay Sundaram Insurance Co., Reliance General Insurance Co., Ltd., etc.,

He handles both civil & criminal cases.

While, he has given most of his attention to his legal profession to the development of Education, his zeal of service has naturally drawn him into the political arena with pressure from friends. His father Late.Sanna Saranappa was the President of Bharatiya Janatha Party, Bellary Unit and after his passing away, the mantle had fallen on his shoulders as District Vice President in the year 1994. He was chosen as the candidate by the party to contest the assembly elections. He also contested for the Parliament Elections in 1996. He offered his services as a disciplined solider of the party inspite of the tide being against.

He has been nominated as a Trustee of UK-MCF TGB Gramina Vikas Trust in 1993, which caters to the needs of rural and down trodden people. His appreciation for value added education has held him in great esteem by being nominated as a member of Jana Kalyana Kendra Bellary, which runs the well known Bala Bharathi School, Bellary.
