His two brothers viz., D. Venkata krishnamacharyulu and D. Gopala charyulu were lawyers and actors, too. On 31.1.1912, Sri D. krishnamacharyulu had gone to Alur to conduct a case before the magistrate Sri Padmala Sreeramulu, there he stumbled at the threshold, fell down and died in the lap of Mr. Sreeramulu, who was then the only person present there. The irony was that in the “ paduka pattabhishekam” drama written by him, Mr. charyulu was always playing Dasharatha and Mr. sreeramulu was acting as Sri Rama and Dasharatha, when he swooned would fall into the lap of Sri Rama. The scene on that day seemed to echo this. Later, his body was brought to Bellary and a Memorial in the form of a temple has been built. His life-size statue is also installed and a  school is being run in the property, which is a Trust.
