Hailed from Hardageri, in Alur Taluk, and was the brother- in law of H. Seethe Rama Reddy, who was also an advocate Practicing at Bellary. Joined the office of T.Raghava , and practiced both on the criminal and civil side. Appeared in all courts at Bellary, even appeared before the High Courts at Hyderabad and Mysore. Known as the father of co-operative movement in Bellary, and was instrumental in establishing kampli co-operative sugar Factory, founder of B.C.C. Stores, Bellary Dairy Farm and Bellary Spinning Mill. Was instrumental in the establishment of the Bellary Medical College and Raghava kala Mandir in memory of his Senior T. Ragahava, to encourage fine arts and cultural activities. Had established Taranath Ayurvedic College. He was the President of Land Mortgage Bank. Defeated Allum karibasappa in 1972 in the Assembly elections from kurugodu constituency. He was a close associate of B.D. Jatti, P.V. Narasimha Rao, M. Chenna Reddy and others.  Died in the year 1974 as a sitting member of the Legislative Assembly.
