Dr. V. Pugazhendhi is one of the prominent writers of Bellary district, well known for his innumerable poems, short stories in many leading dailies and magazines of the state. He is working as Gazetted Officer in the Income-tax Department Bangalore with 24 years of experience. He has authored 3 books and published two compact discs.He was born on 21st September 1962 to late Sri M. Velu and late Smt R. Jayalakshmi and married to H.B. Nagasulochana. He has three children Kumari  P. DEEPA, Kumari P. Nikhila and Master P Vivek.

• His first book “The Silhouette of a Coquette” in 2006 an anthology of his poems in English. Each Poem has got different title and subject on all walks of life.
• “Hoaraata Hosadalve?” In 2007 which contains 52 Poems in Kannada. Each poem has been composed in its own stride, having different title and different subject. A combination of rhymes and rhyme-less poems.
• “Honey…. Honey” in 2009 an anthology of his 150 short poems in Kannada.
• “Chaamara Beesuva Hoomara”       and        “Madhu Surisuva Aagasa” (Each containing an anthology of 14 melodious Kannada Songs Written and tuned by himself, published in2011)

 He has participated in various ‘Kavi goshtis’, organized on the occasion of Bellary District 14th Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, held on 14th and 15th February, 2010 and also many more Kavi Goshtis at Taluk and District levels. He has been writing to Kannada newspapers, magazines since 2006. His Stories, Poems, Short Poems, Jokes and Cartoons have been regularly publishing in the magazines like Karma Veera, Taranga, Mangala, Sudha, Priyanka, Hosatu, Ganda-Hendathi, Karnataka Sowrabha, Advisor, Pushpak Mitra Vahini, Mandya Circle, Ananya, Yuga Purusha, Karave Nalnudi, Manasa, Tingalu, Aruhu Kuruhu, Nage Mugulu, Kasturi, Mayura etc., and in newspapers like Samyukta Karnataka, Hosa Digantha, Loka Darshana, Vijaya Vani, Kannada Prabha, Praja Vani etc.,　　　　In total till today he has authored roughly 25 Stories, 125 Poems, 300 Short poems and 250 Cartoons. He is a Sub-Editor of a Bangalore based monthly magazine “ANANYA”. He has been serving as a correspondent of a Hindi Tri Monthly viz., Saahitya Sarovar.
